On Thursday July 18, I was waiting at a bus stop when a man that couldn't speak asked (by a paper and marker) for some money so he could eat. I gave him the dollar that I was going to use to get back home from work. We got on the bus and I asked why he couldn't speak, he showed me a scar(2-3in. long) on his neck and suggested with his hands that it was because of a fight long ago. when we reached a certain point on the bus route he stepped off. The Lord nudged me to pray for him. I got off the bus (even though, it wasn't my stop), got his attention, stepped out in faith and asked if I could pray for his voice to come back. He nodded and agreed. I told him at any point in the prayer to try and say the name Jesus. I prayed that the God would loosen his tongue, loosen the healing from heaven as well as bind what's blocking his voice. I wasn't praying long but the man seemed to be impatient. I prayed for him a little bit more. He tried saying something but it seemed to get stuck and he would then take a swig of his water. Soon after, we departed and he suggested thanks to me. I was able to get to work on time and was offered a ride home by one of my co-worker who wasn't going to close with me (he changed his mind). I thank God for the man I encountered and another opportunity to step out in faith.

On Wednesday July 17, I went to stop and shop to do some banking. As I was waiting I saw a women talking to the teller who had a cast on her left arm and a large leg brace on her right leg. I felt the Lord say to me "pray for her". After my banking she was still not done, so I conversed with an employee at stop and shop who I had a class with in college. After she was done, I caught up with her and introduced myself and asked what happened. She said it was a car accident. I asked how it happened and she said all she remembered was a loud bang and then being rushed to the hospital. I stepped out in faith and asked if I could pray for her arm and leg. she said yes, and sat down in a seat nearby (she couldn't stand too long because of her leg injury). As I prayed for her arm, I felt something moving in her arm(that was broken in two places in the forearm) and a little in her leg(injured tendon). I asked if she felt anything different, but she said no. I continued to pray for her, then she realized that the person arrived there to pick her up. I finished the prayer and we departed ways. I thank God for Nelly (that was her name) and the opportunity to pray for her.

As I have mentioned in an earlier testimony, I pray every morning while I am on my commute to work. I have never really had an issue of not knowing what to pray until today.

As I was found myself struggling, I asked the Holy Ghost for help. Walking to my cubicle, several verses in Ephesians came to mind but I could not understand the connection. I was also meditating on the Word of the Lord that was spoken last night in class concerning the season of wealth He is bringing us into. When I took out my bible, the Lord told me to read Ephesians 1. Towards the end of the chapter, verses 17-19 were impressed within me and I knew that this is what I am to pray.

Thanks be to God for the Helper He has sent to us; the one that comes on our behalf and shows us how we ought to pray! (Romans 8:26)

About 6 weeks before my scheduled last day of employment God told me to pray for the new leader of the new program/agency. I actually volunteered a few days after my layoff to complete some work and to present a smoother transition. My last day on the campus was Friday, 7/12/13. I met with the new Director, who actually was a director who did not get laid off. We worked together as colleagues for the 5 years that I was on the job. We were tremendous respect for one another and worked well as the 2 second-in-command directors when the Executive Director was away. So on Friday, I met with her for the last time and at the end of our meeting and turning in my keys, etc., I said to her that in obedience to God, I have to pray with her and bless her hands and the agency as they move forward. She is for all intents and purposes, an agnostic. She doesn't pray; she doesn't attend church (raised Catholic); she never brought her children up in church; etc. So when I got ready to pray, she was receptive because she knew and respected my beliefs and that if I said God told me to do something, she believed He told me to do it. She said to me, you will have to tell me what to do because I don't know. I told her all she had to do was join hands with me and God and I will do the rest. It is especially noteworthy here to say that this person does not show emotion much at all. She is not an outwardly emotional person at all; is pretty cool under fire. So when I began to pray God's blessings on her hands; that everything her hand touches will succeed and that under her leadership, the organization will not only survive but will thrive; she began to shake a little. I opened my eyes to see what was going on as I continued to pray. I thanked God for allowing me to work with this woman for 5 years and the friendship that was established between us. She was crying so hard; I wasn't sure she was hearing the words I was praying. By the end of the prayer we were both crying. Once we calmed down, we embraced for our goodbyes and she held on to me tightly and started crying and shaking all over again. While I was praying, I knew the exact moment the Holy Ghost showed up. God is so faithful. The last thing this woman said to me (after she calmed down a 2nd time) was "thank you for being the person you are"; "I believe what you said is true"; "I don't know how you come up with the words you just spoke over me"; and finally, "I love you." Don't let what you know about a person or their beliefs keep you from doing the work of the Lord. If He says pray for them; whether they are agnostic, atheist, Muslim, Jehovah Witness, or any other belief system outside of Christ, God will honor your obedience and signs and wonders will follow. Praise be to God, the giver of life!

I want to share a tesitmony about one of the employees that I had to meet with to lay off. He said to me that now that he is leaving, he feels more comfortable saying something to me. He shared that the few times we had talked over the years, that he knew there was something different and real about me and that he could sense I had a real relationship with God. So much so that when he found himself involved in things he knew he shouldn't be involved in, he would ask himself, what would Ms. Daniels do. He said more times than not, just asking himself that question, and knowing the answer, helped him to walk away from doing something wrong. As he was talking, the Holy Ghost came in the room. I told him I was honored that I had that kind of affect on him, but indeed it was Christ in me. He said, "no Ms. Daniels, I am the one honored." I want to say to everyone reading this that never think that how you carry yourself, how you present yourself, and what and how you say things don't affect people's lives. They do -- so it would behoove us to walk uprightly, have a Godly presentation and let people see Christ in us, even if they don't immediately know that is what they are seeing, but they it is inviting, nonetheless.

On December 28, 2012 I posted the following testimony:

"I have been praying for my agency since I started working there in July 2008. Just recently, we received word that the agency may be shutting down because our funder would no longer fund our program. I talked to God about this and asked Him what I could do to stop this from happening. I reminded God that I have prayed for this agency, the work that is done there and the 85-100 lives that would be affected by a shutdown. Closing was imminent. I have always been open with my coworkers about my faith and when everyone else was saying this is the end and I was saying not so. We found out on 12/21/12 that we have 6 months to come up with new programs because our current program will not be funded after 6/30/13. I believe God honored my prayers and supplications for this agency and the people who would be adversely affected and kept the proposed ruins at bay. He is concerned about everything we are concerned about in our lives and if we walk in what we carry, He will work through us to bring healing to our land. Praise God for His mercy and grace."

The last 5 people were laid off on June 27, 2013, including myself. But there is a new program in place and there will be 15 or so people working in the Fall. The agency did not shut down. Hallelujah! Many of the people that were laid off got jobs already. Praise the Lord! This 110 year old agency did not get closed down and I know it was nobody but God that kept it open -- to help troubled youth with their education and mental, emotional and behavioral challenges. God is faithful!

Early this morning, I was checking through my emails and my Facebook page and I came across a message from a high-school friend named Mike. He was excited to tell me that he has been born-again and that Christ has made all things new! Glory to God! He said that me posting Scripture verses, praises, prayers, and exhortations on Facebook over the past year has made him stop and think about his relationship with God and if he really knew Jesus. He finished the conversation by saying, "You never know when it can make someone's day or turn them to the Lord."

Father, I thank You for bringing another soul into the Kingdom. In Jesus' name, I pray that You surround Mike with a godly company of believers and that You continue the great work that You have begun inside of him. All the glory and honor goes to You, Father God.

Thursday July 4 I went to St. Mary to see the fireworks with my girlfriend and her family (who are also Christian). But what happening was that we ending getting kicked out of the park because we didn't have a park sticker. We went to captain's cove to see if we could see them from there. we ended up at this little dock with a roof that was way to the side (I didn't even know it was there). We went there set some chairs, however my girlfriend (Bethany) and I noticed a women crying on one of the steps going to the docks where the boats where. Bethany said the women looked familiar and thought she works in a restaurant next to her church. She told her mom, and they approached her and starting speaking to her. Soon after Beth's mom started ministering to her and I was praying for the grieving women and for Nancy (Beth's mom) to say words God wants to say to this women. I prayed in spirit while she was ministering to her. I recognized that Nancy had a particular anointing to minister to this women better than could at this point in time. Also because there was a language barrier. The grieving women spoke Spanish and so could Nancy. Instead of ministering to someone who would be better ministered to by someone else, I let Nancy do it and didn't interrupt or jump in but prayed while it was going on. This served as two lessons for me. One: let the person who's better fit to minister in that particular situation do so. and Two: Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." We may not seen fireworks but we sowed a seed in someone's life which is far more important to God's will and purpose.

On Wednesday July 3, I was walking back from the gym and I saw a man on the side of a exit ramp with sign in his hand. His back was facing me, so I wasn't able to see what it said but we established eye contact briefly before I crossed the street. He didn't seem he was a bad natured person or on anything bad, But when I crossed the street, The Lord told me to go back to talk to that man. So I obeyed, and introduced myself. His name was Saundy (He was European). I looked at the sign briefly, and it said "Please help my family, God Bless." So I asked what was going on with his family, and he said that he and his wife was going through financial difficulties and they were traveling from Maine to New York to stay at his wife's sisters house. He said he had 3 kids. I asked where they were now, he said they were in a McDonald's nearby. I didn't have any money on me because I just came from the gym (didn't carry my wallet me), so asked if I could pray for the man and said yeah, and I did. I went home(not too far away) and rushed taking a shower etc. hoping that he would still be out there before I went to work. I went back and sure enough (with some relief), he was still there. I remember eailer in our conversation that he said he needed diapers and wipes for the baby. I told him let's meet up with your wife and family, I'll buy you guys something to eat, and then we can go to the stop and shop nearby to get diapers and wipes. However, when we got to McDonald's it was only his wife and one child. So I was little confused b/c I didn't think he was lying but the other kids weren't there. I asked if they wanted to eat there or at Wendy's or somewhere else because it they were struggling financially, they may have been eating McDonald's for a while. Sure enough, they were sick of McDonald's and wanted Wendy's. We went there (A few blocks away) I bought them some food and was able to sit down with them and try to figure what was going on and where they were with the Lord. They said that they believe in God and was attending church at one point, but then issues started striking them, causing them not to go. I asked Saundy's wife (Beth) if finances were the only issue, she said no there's more to it, but didn't want to talk about it and I respected that. I told her that I didn't need to know, because the Lord knows all things and knows exactly what's going on in there lives, and He is the one that can really help them, not I. I felt so much compassion for them, because I knew what they were going was difficult, and they were trying to do things the right way. Also the Lord really put his heart for these people in me. After the meal, we went to stop and shop so I could get them diapers, wipes and some food (Mainly for the little one they had, and some fresh fruit instead of fast food they've been eating). After the purchase, they brought there car into the parking lot where I helped them load the things I got them into the car. After that Beth went back in to use the bathroom and Saundy told me a little bit more of what was going on. He said that Beth's mother took the other two children away from her and Beth an he was traveling to New York to protect the baby (Destiny is the baby girls name). They were going to Beth's sister's house for a while. When Beth came back out, I told them not to lose faith God. I told them that God is right there with them and is not this far away God as many people might think. I told them to draw near to the Lord and they'll hear and see the answer for their situation come to them. I prayed for peace in them, for comfort, for God to bind the enemy from trying to destroy these people and family.

At the termination of the street witnessing on Shelton Ave. in New Haven, walking back to the cars I noticed a young black male walking at a quick pace towards me on the sidewalk eating cookies { Nutter-Buter }. When he was in front of me with a mouthful of cookies, I said "thoose cookies may taste good, but I have something for you that is better" he stopped and looked at me inquisitively. I told him that God loves him, and was he ABSOLUTELY sure that he was going to Heaven, if he was to perish right now? His response was "I don't know". I began reciting scriptures from Romans re: salvation, and shared one of my personal testimonies. When I perceived he was enlighten, he agreeded to being prayed for to recieve Jesus Christ as his Savior. We exchanged info. for follow-up in the future, with an invitation to our church for fellowship. Another Divine encounter thanks be unto God's ministering Spirit.
