I was at the Westfield Mall in Trumbull last night and crossed paths with a friend of mine I had not seen in a while. We had a conversation about what was going on in our lives for several minutes and then went on our way.
She sent me a text message shortly after I had left the mall that really blessed me. She opened up about some struggles and issues that had been going on in her life. A lot has been on her mind lately and she was experiencing stress and anxiety. She told me the moment I stopped to talk with her that she had felt a presence that was around me. The best description she could give was a "very calming" presence in which she felt those worries lift off of her.
As we have learned in class, every moment and interaction is important. We need to treat everyday as if it is our last and remember that we were placed here on this earth for a purpose. I was extremely blessed and am thankful for this "crossing of paths" with my friend.
I believe God is calling us to a higher level. In this place, all we will have to do is show up and those around us will receive what they need (deliverance, healing, an encounter with God's power, etc.). The Scriptures that came to mind are Peter's shadow and the pieces of Paul's apron and handkerchiefs.
"Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one" Acts 5:15-16 KJV
"And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them." Acts 19:12
A sister came to me after service last week telling me about stress and anxiety she was experiencing at work (especially during this season of her job) and also at home. She informed me that her coworkers are very closed to the Gospel and sometimes even mock her because of her faith. Not sure of what to do, she came to me for advice. I ministered to her as I could for some time and waited on the Lord. The presence of God came upon us and I prayed that the peace of God would rest upon her wherever she may go and that His peace would also flood the workplace.
I saw her at service yesterday and asked how the week went. She told me she had never experienced the peace of God like this before and for so long! There was harmony at work between the employees and she said it felt like a weight was taken off of her shoulders. A couple of coworkers also invited her to a gathering to get to know her and inquired about what she believes. Praise the Lord! He grants us rest, peace, and answers our prayers.
"The LORD will give strength unto His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace."
Psalm 29:11 KJV
Today The lord put Brother Beau on my mind and told me that he is pleased with his heart. He told me to tell Beau that he is pleased with him putting his people and the church befor his personal desires. Then I felt a presence upon me and I broke out in praise. I started crying and thanking the lord for his presence and praising him. The presence was over whelming throughout my room like never before. I couldn't do anything but praise. It was amazing. Thank you Lord!
"Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end..."(Isaiah 9:7)
There is No End to His Kingdom! We can increase His Government and enforce His ruler-ship anywhere at anytime on earth as it is in heaven!
I experienced this just this past Friday at a soup kitchen in church. To my surprise I was asked to preach. So I looked to the Lord and it came to my mind to speak on 2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
Once I finished, and as people were receiving their meals, one man asked for prayer. And then another man quickly came up for prayer too. so I asked The sister who was in charge if she could lay hands as I prayed. As I prayed for them prophetically the power of God came on them and the second man that had come up for prayer fell out, no one touching Him. Thank God the sister was there to catch Him. She told me later the 1st man was about to fall out but was resisting.
A soup Kitchen, where many homeless and poverty-stricken people go to eat food they otherwise could not afford, is not the end of God's governmental jurisdiction, there and everywhere His Government can be and shall be increased!
Let's be the agents that bring the increase of God's government into the communities we are able to reach and cause this prophetic scripture to continue to be fulfilled! Glory to God!
At the end of service yesterday, I felt the healing anointing ignite. I was a bit perplexed as the service had just ended and no one came back for prayer for healing. Just as everyone was about to get out of their seats (as they were dismissed), a woman named Judy came back and asked someone else to pray for her as she was experiencing back pain. I asked the woman (Lauren) if she felt the power to heal come upon her and she told me it was "not as strong as it normally is." She was not sure if Judy had received healing so I motioned if I could minister to Judy before she left. I saw that Judy was close to exiting the door and I stopped her before she went out. I told her that the Lord wanted her to be completely healed before she left. I told her that I was not going to pray (as to honor Lauren's prayer) but that I was going to lay my hand and command her to be healed.
I said, "In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I command you to be healed" and laid my right hand upon her. Without a moment passing by, she jumped and let out a "WHOO!" Now, Judy is a 4'11" Jewish believer in Christ and is somewhere around her mid 70's. I say this because I was not expecting a response like this from such a dainty little woman. She then said, "THERE IS WARMTH ALL OVER MY BACK! OH, THANK YOU JESUS!" We then began to praise God for bringing healing to her back. She had informed me that she was in such excruciating pain for weeks because she had been physically helping many disabled friends. She had asked the Lord for healing in prayer so she could continue to help them. The Lord met her wonderfully and His healing touch strengthened her!
A coworker of mine has been recently asking me about faith and what it is that I believe about Jesus. We have had several conversations about the reality of God and His power displayed.
She asked me to come along with her to purchase a vehicle. Since she did not have a car of her own to get there, I offered to assist her in getting there. When we got to the dealer, she asked if I would pray. I simply asked God for His favor to be upon her.
She initially had her mind set on one particular vehicle because of her budget. She prefers hatchbacks over sedans and the dealer showed her one out front. I could tell that she immediately took a liking to the car and was now considering purchasing it. When she went over the numbers with the dealer, he calculated the monthly payment to be $247 which was $33 lower than the original $280!
I had prayed the next morning that the credit union would offer her an even better deal than the initial and that I would inform her that it was the Lord's doing. So, that morning, the credit union contacted her and let her know that they would take an extra $1,000 off from the loan and decrease the initial rate they gave her (which was already very low).
When she told me about the credit union's revised offer, she started off with "Praise God!"
For yesterday's service the congregation met at Great Hollow Lake in Monroe for a baptism service. At the end of it, I saw our associate pastor with his arm around a man I had not recognized. As I was about to pass by the associate pastor called my name and asked if I would pray for the man as he was experiencing excruciating back pain. The man's name was Alex and he had told me that he was dealing with pain in his lower back (specifically the L5 vertebrae of the lumbar spine) since he was about 12 years old. With tears in his eyes, he told me how he had received healing prayer for alignment of the spine and God met him wonderfully. The doctors were in shock when they saw that it had been straightened but found small holes that had developed. These holes would continue to cause Alex pain, anywhere from small discomfort to immobilizing him. I then realized that he was facing this immobilizing pain because he actually could not walk and had to remain in the same place he was standing with the help of the pastor.
After Alex explained to me the issue he was now dealing with, I prayed for him and then spoke healing / filling of these holes so his healing would be complete. After doing so, I laid my hand on his lower back. He immediately turned to me and hugged me. I asked him how he felt. He honestly looked at me and said, "Good" and indicated that it was just a bit better. A second later, he started to weep and shouted, "I CAN WALK!" He had a large grin on his face and began to praise God!
I saw him about 5 minutes later walking past me pain-free with the same expression on his face. Thanks be to God for remaining faithful to His word and continuing to be our Healer this day! Glory to His Name!
Last week, Pastor Joy had asked if I would be willing to pray with him for a family who has been visiting Crossroads. As I was in prayer beforehand, I felt the anointing ignite and my right arm was on fire (a manifestation I notice when the Lord comes to heal). So as I along with my pastor and another went to pray for the family and their requests, I waited until the end and told the father that there was healing available for him. I asked him if I could lay my hand upon him and he said certainly. I simply told him to be healed and laid my hand upon his head. He came up to me yesterday after service and thanked me for praying for him specifically. He said there were layers of hurt and pain he had been dealing with for years. He revealed to me that he had been to therapy and counseling and nothing seemed to bring the healing he knew he needed. He said after last Sunday, God had revealed to him what those layers were (and even more than the man had originally thought). We praised God and marveled how just one touch from the Lord can make us whole. Bless the Name of Jesus!
This past Sunday, a young woman came back for prayer. She said she was struggling with anxiety for a long period of time. I was called by another member of the prayer team to lead. As I began to pray, I noticed that a boldness and a compassion came upon me like never before and I raised the volume in which I was speaking. I declared the young woman to be free, and after praying, laid my hands upon her. As I laid my hands upon her I could actually feel the darkness begin to disperse and eventually go. She began to tremble and tears rolled down her face. I received an email last night after class of the young woman testifying that she woke up the next day COMPLETELY FREE of anxiety. She was filled with peace and joy! Glory to God!
Over two weeks ago, Brother Matt and I were asked to be on the prayer team at our church. The associate pastor, Tom, came back and told us about dizzy spells that he had been having for a while. He said they would come randomly and put him in a daze where he could not move and have to wait until his head and his sight would become clear. Immediately after hearing this, I felt led by the Spirit to lay hands on him (for both Matt and I to do so). We began to pray and wait for God's power to come. My hands began to burn, which is a natural sign for me that healing has been activated, so then we laid hands and commanded the dizziness to go and the healing to come.
A week later, Pastor Tom approached the both of us to testify that the Lord had healed him. He had no dizzy spells whatsoever and actually informed us that he had never felt so good in a week's time! Glory be to God!
"And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony..." Revelation 12:11
